Sometimes, life just doesn’t go as planned. My biggest setback? My own body—brutal and unforgiving. Over 20 years ago, on a rainy evening, we were deep in preseason training for Switzerland’s second-highest handball league. We had just missed out on promotion to the top division by the slimmest margin. And then, that night, everything changed. Mid-movement, my back locked up—like someone had hit the pause button. Did I think it was the end of my career? Not for a second. But that’s exactly what it was. One year of physiotherapy, realigning my spine, relearning how to walk—starting from scratch.
Looking back, it was a tough but invaluable lesson. Defeat is only permanent if you stay down. So, you get back up, rethink, and find a better way forward. Or as Swiss tennis star Stan Wawrinka has tattooed on his arm: "Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."
In 2020, my first book on gin was published—the moment that kickstarted my journey into entrepreneurship. A small online shop in Switzerland followed and quickly grew. Then came the events: gin and Champagne tastings, infused dinners, culinary journeys, festivals. And in 2024, the next big milestone—my book on Champagne.
Along the way, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with national and international brands, bringing ideas and concepts to life. From product development to unique tasting experiences, marketing strategies, and sales concepts—anything that makes a great drink or experience even better.
